From Sunday 16th Nov 2008

 

 

1. Morning Worship at 11:30 a.m. GB/BB Enrolment Service. This is a very important service for all involved in our GB and BB. Norman Brown will conduct the service and Emerson McDowell will be the speaker. Anchor Boys and Explorers will join the other boys and girls who attend The Well.

2. The Well: The children will leave during the early part of the service and meet in the Lecture Hall. Parents can collect their children after the service from the Lecture Hall (Xtream) and the two rooms at the front of the Church (Bubbles and Splash).

3. Prayer Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.

4. Evening Worship at 6:30 p.m. Youth Service: The young people of the congregation are encouraged to attend and to bring others. James Millar will be the speaker.

5. Sunday Fellowship will meet in the Lecture Hall after the evening service.

MONDAY

6. GB: Explorers will meet from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Church Hall and The Company Section meets in the Wellington Hall from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

7. Discipleship Action Team will meet at 8:00 p.m. in  a room at the front of the Church.

TUESDAY

8. Paint Pot:  Come along and paint for fun at 10:30 a.m. in the Creche Room.  No experience required.

9. Men’s Fellowship will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Wellington Hall.  Men of all ages are very welcome.

 

10. Female Focus - Time to….Serve: Come along to the Church Hall at 8:00 p.m. and join with the ladies of Female Focus and Wellington Women as we hear from John Luke about the work of ‘Nightlight’, our home project. (This group work on ‘The Golden Mile’ in Belfast.) A light supper will be provided.  Everyone welcome.

11. Leaders of Organisations and Action Team Conveners will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Session Room. This meeting will consider plans for leaving our present premises and entering our new Complex in March. Please make sure your group, organisation or Action Team is represented.

WEDNESDAY

12. Mums and Tots will meet from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.  All children up to pre-school age will be made welcome.

13. Wednesday Fellowship will meet at 2:30 p.m. in the Church Hall. The speaker will be Rev Ronnie McCracken and the soloist Mr Alan Kyle.

14. Special Midweek Meeting at 8:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall when Billy Swann, Dublin City Mission will be our speaker. Come and hear the exciting things God is doing in Dublin.

THURSDAY

15. Women’s Bible Study will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the crèche room.

16. BB: Anchor boys will meet from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Church Hall for boys in P1 to P4, Junior Section will meet at 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Wellington Hall and The Company Section from  7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in the Wellington Hall.

17. Choir Practice at 7:30 p.m. in the Dunclug Primary School. We are preparing for our Christmas Celebrations and invite new members to join us.

SATURDAY

18. Rendezvous Youth Club will meet from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Wellington Hall.  This is for all in Form 1 and upwards.

NEXT SUNDAY

19. Sunday Morning Bible Study Group at 10:15 a.m. in the Session Room.

20. Senior Sunday School (Year 8+) & Bible Class meet at 10:30 a.m.

21. Morning Prayer Meeting at 11:05 a.m. in the Session Room.

22. Morning Worship at 11:30 a.m. Rev Jim Stewart from Perth, Scotland will be the speaker. Jim is the speaker at the Session weekend conference.

23. The Well children’s programme - Bubbles (pre-school – P1), Splash (P2-P3) and Xstream (P4-P7) meet during the morning service. Children leave for The Well during the early part of the Church worship service.

24. Creche: Heather Marshall, Marbeth Kilpatrick, Samina Carlin, Peggy Eaton

25. Prayer Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.

26. Evening Worship at 6:30 p.m. Eleanor Drysdale will continue the series in Revelation, the theme is ‘Don’t lose hope’.

27. Sunday Fellowship will meet after the evening service in the Lecture Hall.

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

28. Session Conference: Elders are reminded of the Conference commencing on Friday 21 November and continuing on Saturday 22 November. Rev Jim Stewart from Perth in Scotland is our invited speaker.

29.    Committee Members are reminded of the meeting planned for Monday 24 November in the Lecture Hall at 7:30 p.m.

30. Pastoral Care Action Team will meet at the Church on Thursday 27 November at 8:00 p.m.

31. Men’s Fellowship Christmas Dinner:  Please put your name on the sheet in the vestibule and join us for what will be our last Christmas Dinner in these premises on Friday 5 December.

32. Morocco Teams:  Next April/May, some teams will be going again to Morocco to assist with the reconstruction and relief work being done there by Gateway Medical Alliance and Friends of the Rif.  As before there will be opportunities for both men and women to serve.  Teams are currently in the process of being formed.  If you are considering this, or would just like some more information, please speak to either Gareth Williams or Sam Davison or contact Sam on 25862849.

33. ‘Old Time’ Praise Service in O.C. Randalstown on Sunday 23 November at 7:30 p.m.

34. Teenagers– What every parent or youth leader needs to know about teenagers.  Learn how to deal with their big issues and how to guide them safely through those turbulent years.  Presented by Rob Parsons on 27 November at Tullyglass House Hotel. Information leaflets available on the Vestibule table. 

35. Latin Link Powerhouse: This Day of Prayer will take place in 1st Antrim Presbyterian Church on Saturday 29 November from   11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. See notice board in the vestibule for details.

36. Crown Jesus Ministries has organised an evening to inspire you to pray for revival. “If my people…” will take place in Ballymena Baptist Church on Saturday 29 November at 8:00 p.m. The speaker will be Derick Bingham.
