The Girls' Brigade aim is: To seek, serve and follow Christ.

Captain: Clare McClintock

The Explorer Star

The star award is unique to this age group in Girl's Brigade. Explorers are at the start of their journey through life and by our programme we hope to guide them as they grow in body, mind and spirit and become aware of the needs of others.

The Explorer StarThe star is divided into six parts; at the center of the star are the letters GB. These stand for Girls' Brigade but also God's Book and all our work is centered on this. Just as the wise men followed the star to find the baby Jesus, so Explorers working for their star can also be helped to find Jesus as their guiding light.

The other points of the star are called after the jewels below:

EEmeraldExploring God's world and discovering its beauty
SSapphireSelf and Service - learning about yourself and others
TTopazTalents and Tasks - using the gifts which God has given
AAmethystActivity
