The Explorer Star
The star award is unique to this age group in Girl's Brigade. Explorers are at the start of their journey through life and by our programme we hope to guide them as they grow in body, mind and spirit and become aware of the needs of others.
 | The star is divided into six parts; at the center of the star are the letters GB. These stand for Girls' Brigade but also God's Book and all our work is centered on this. Just as the wise men followed the star to find the baby Jesus, so Explorers working for their star can also be helped to find Jesus as their guiding light. |
The other points of the star are called after the jewels below:
Officers and Helpers in Explorers

The girls go to the bible studies at 7:15pm during which time the remaining officers have a prayer meeting where they pray for various concerns: the girls, the church, the chaplain, each other, the sick.
We are always grateful for your prayers, without which GB would accomplish nothing.
