Sunday School

Sunday 10:15 - 11:00 pm
Leader: James McClintock

We are well underway with another year of teaching, fellowship and fun at Sunday School. As usual we had some staffing changes with Mrs Margaret Cameron retiring (early retirement obviously) after many years faithful teaching and Esther Campbell moving on. We have been joined by Stephen and Karen Orr who hopefully feel very welcome.

What do we do in Sunday School? Well the older among you can probably remember when Sunday School was a mixture of bible stories, teaching, catechisms, memory verses, singing, Christmas parties etc and I知 pleased to tell you that things have changed very little. Yes, we have computer generated words for singing, teaching is in smaller groups, there is more emphasis on the application of the lessons than on rote learning of catechisms in accordance with changes in day school education but worship and the Bible, characters, truths and lessons remain as the focus of our various groups.

This term we have been studying early Genesis, various parables and the life of Job. As always we would be delighted for new members to join with us. Any children of school age will be made most welcome.
