Finance Update
During the past 12 months we have experienced the Lord's leading in many
wonderful ways. The church has moved forward in faith and we have seen
the promises of the Lord fulfilled. We have much for which to be
thankful.
Healthy bank balances have been sustained by generous congregational
giving through all of the monthly envelopes. The "Free Will
Offering" increased by 3%. Contributions to the Mission account and
Building for God rose dramatically by 76% and 27% respectively. The
giving to the Building for God was one of the most remarkable features
of the year, with £92,000 coming in on our Harvest Day offering. When
account is taken of Gift Aid the amount raised for the year was
£293,000, close to our formidable target of £300,000.
Did you know...........
- Since Harvest 2001, when the Building for God fund was
launched, until December 2005 the magnificent sum of over £1.7
million has been raised, mostly by direct giving by members of the
congregation.
- The Committee has set targets of £400,000, £500,000 and
£600,000 for the next three years.
- Many members of Session and Committee have pledged a financial
commitment to the project for the next year and beyond.
