On 21st April a group of 28
volunteers from churches in the Ballymena area travelled to this
remote mountain area. For some of us this was our third visit to the
region. Some of our volunteers were skilled tradesmen and this year
7 of our number were women, which added a new dimension to the work.
For those who returned it was a special opportunity to renew
friendships with these poor but very hospitable Muslim people. For
those going for the first time it was an adventure into the unknown
and for our women it gave the opportunity to reach out to the Muslim
women.”
