Conflict in Columbia has spanned 40 years and claimed 40,000 lives. 2 million have had to flee their homes; killings and kidnappings are common place. In the cities children are at high risk of being drawn into crime, drug taking or street gangs. Less than half finish secondary school. Club Deportivo Union Cristiano seeks to influence the lives of children, their families and their communities. In 2005, 800 children (10 to 15 years) were able to join the club’s football programme and be involved in training, discipleship and help with school work. With over twelve year’s experience CDUC has gained a great reputation – young people’s lives are being changed.

The 2006 TEARFUND walk total came to £18,800 – a big thank you! This means that over the years almost £190,000 has been raised..
