The Tear Fund Walk 2007

walk 05 I 06 l 07

Since 2002 the “Noah’s Ark” project has been bringing hope in the middle of despair. Each night they shelter up to 3000 vulnerable children who come from outlying villages for protection from the Lord’s Resistance Army. The children get physical protection but also nutrition, healthcare, counselling and emotional support, recreational activities and Bible teaching.

Noah's Ark, Uganda - the 2007 project

We had a great day at Glenariff, with around 400 walkers. Tearfund staff were on hand to inform and interact, we had several barbeques in full flame and even the midges were kind to us. And the total raised by our incredible supporters was

£23,000!
